2 tbs olive oil
1.5 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
2.5 tbs all purpose flour
1.5 oz packet Mc Cormick beef stew packet
3 cups water
1 onion, diced
2 russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 sticks celery, sliced
2 large carrots, sliced
- In a medium sized bowl add the beef then add in the flour, stir to coat the beef in the flour.
- In a dutch oven or large pot over medium heat add the oil, once it’s hot sear the meat on all sides.
- Add in the beef stew packet and 3 cups of water. Scrape the bits off the bottom of the pan. Bring to a boil, drop to a simmer and let simmer covered for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Add in the vegetables into the pot and stir well. Simmer covered for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables and meat are tender. Enjoy!
