Ingredients
4-5
lbs
pork loin half roast
2
cups
barbecue sauce
1 ¼
cups
Dr Pepper soda
or root beer
7-8
hamburger buns
Instructions
To a large slow cooker, add the pork loin half roast, fat side up.
Pour the barbecue sauce and Dr Pepper soda on top.
Cover with the lid.
Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or HIGH for 5-6 hours, or until the meat is tender.
Once cooked, shred the meat in the slow cooker, keeping the juices in the slow cooker.
Shred the meat with an electric hand mixer, meat masher, or two forks.
Serve the shredded barbecue pork in hamburger buns.
If you like your sandwich saucy, add extra barbecue sauce to the sandwich before serving.

Notes
Keep the juices in the slow cooker when shredding so the pork stays moist.
Root beer can be used instead of Dr Pepper.
Add extra barbecue sauce after shredding if you want the pork saucier.
Leftovers work well on baked potatoes, rice bowls, sliders, or nachos.
