Classic Shepherd's Pie
Savory beef and veggies topped with creamy mashed potatoes and baked until golden—this Classic Shepherd’s Pie never goes out of style.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 white onion diced
- 4 large carrots sliced
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbs all purpose flour
- 2 tbs tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400℉.
- Using about 1lb of potatoes make mashed potatoes! I made mine in the instant pot but you can also to it on the stove.
- To a skillet on the stove add the ground beef, onion, and carrots cook the beef through then remove any access grease. Now add in the seasonings, salt, pepper, parsley, rosemary, and thyme stir well. Now add in the worcestershire sauce and flour stir well. Add in the tomato paste stir. Lastly add the broth and frozen peas in stir well and let simmer for 7 minutes on the stove.
- Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray then add the shepherds pie filling in spread it out evenly then carefully spread the mashed potatoes all over the filling. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake for 25 minutes. Enjoy.
