All the comforting layers of lasagna—meaty sauce, creamy cheese, and tender noodles—baked together in an easy casserole. A family favorite without the fuss of traditional lasagna.
To a large pot of boiling water add pasta and cook according to the box instructions. Once cooked drain the pasta and set to the side.
To a large dutch oven add sausage, onion, and garlic break the sausage up and cook it through. Once cooked remove any excess grease in the pan. Pour in marinara sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Add cooked pasta to a large bowl with the egg, cottage cheese, Italian seasoning, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Stir mixture to combine.
To Make Now:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish with non stick spray pour the cheesy pasta minute into baking dish. Pour the marinara sausage sauce over the top. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil bake for an additional 15 minutes. Enjoy!
Make It a Freezer Dinner:
Grease a aluminum 9x13 baking dish, pour the cheesy pasta minute into baking dish. Pour the marinara sausage sauce over the top. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Cover with aluminum foil. Freeze up to 4 months.
Thaw in the refrigerator the nigh before eating.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil bake for an additional 15 minutes. Enjoy!
