Instructions
Add the potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, basil, parsley, and chicken broth in your slow cooker. Stir. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours.
45 minutes before serving, to a skillet on the stove add the ground beef and cook through. Remove any access grease then place the ground beef into the slow cooker. To the same pan you cooked the ground beef in add the butter and let it melt. Once melted whisk in flour and continue to cook for 1 minute or until golden brown. Slowly whisk in milk, salt and pepper. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker, stir to combine.
Add in the cheese, stir and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until the cheese is melty. Enjoy!
