To a large saute pan or dutch oven over medium heat add the bacon and cook the bacon through. Once cooked with a slotted spoon remove the bacon from the pan on to a plate lined with paper towel. Leave the bacon drippings in the pan.
To the same pan we cooked the bacon in add the diced onion, chicken, salt, and garlic powder stir well and brown the chicken on each side.
Add in the rice, broth, and ranch seasoning stir well and bring up to a simmer turn the heat to low and let simmer covered for 18-22 minutes stirring occasionally until the rice is tender.
Add back in the cooked bacon and cheese stir well to melt the cheese. Enjoy!
