To a microwave safe bowl, (I like to use a large glass one) add the butter, sugar, water, salt and microwave on high for 7-11 minutes. Time depends on your microwave. checking often until golden color.

Pour the toffee on the sheet pan as soon as it’s out of the microwave. Spread out by tilting pan to create a thin layer of toffee.
Sprinkle 1/2 of the pecans on the top and 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips. Wait a few minutes for the chocolate to melt, then spread out. Sprinkle the remaining pecans on top. Let cool completely then break into small pieces.
