Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped

  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • To a microwave safe bowl, (I like to use a large glass one) add the butter, sugar, water, salt and microwave on high for 7-11 minutes. Time depends on your microwave. checking often until golden color.
  • Sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Pour the toffee on the sheet pan as soon as it’s out of the microwave.
Spread out by tilting pan to create a thin layer of toffee.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 of the pecans on the top and 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips.
Wait a few minutes for the chocolate to melt,  then spread out. Sprinkle the remaining pecans on top. Let cool completely then break into small pieces.
