BBQ Chicken Sandwiches – Slow Cooker

Set it and forget it! These Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Sandwiches are saucy, tender, and perfect for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup chicken broth

Instructions 

  • In a bowl add the barbecue sauce, broth, and onion whisk to combine.
  • Add the chicken breast to the slow cooker and pour the sauce on top. Slow cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, shred and continue to cook on low for 20 minutes.
  • To serve I like to place the BBQ chicken mixture in a hamburger bun with coleslaw!
