Pork chops are smothered with savory French onion sauce and topped with cheese and crispy onions for a decadent and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 boneless pork chops

  • 1/2 cup French onion dip

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Add the pork chops to a greased 9×13 baking dish, placing them side by side. Spread the French onion dip evenly over the tops of the pork chops. Sprinkle the cheese over the French onion dip, then sprinkle the crispy fried onions on top of the cheese.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145℉. Enjoy!

  1. Have you ever tried this with boneless skinless chicken breasts? Not a huge fan of pork so was just curious!

  2. I JUST made this! It’s OK with chops….but “I” think this would be AMAZING wirh chicken tenders! !!!!! πŸ™‚ the topping and dip/”sauce” is great πŸ™‚ but my personal preference chops kinda chewy 4 me,nit too bad though πŸ™‚ plus, I put foil over mine after 30 min or so,bcuz my onions were getting too brown..so I would cover w foil 1st 20 min. And use chicken tenders, “maybe” less cook time w tenders? πŸ™‚ but all N all…I DO think the flavor was spot on! πŸ˜‰

  3. I made this with boneless, skinless chicken breasts and it was delicious! The chicken was moist and the topping was crunchy and full of flavor. Great recipe!

We don’t have the onion dip in Norway, so I have found a recipe online. Is there enough seasoning in the dip to flavor the chops? There’s no seasoning listed in your recipe. It probably depends on the dip, I guess.

    Love your recipes!

  11. I made these used slightly Thicker ones . Came out moist and flavorful and delicious. 10/10 will make again

  12. Loved the flavor! I also put foil over and would use thinner pork chops to keep them tender. The thick ones were chewy. Going to try chicken with it next!

  13. Loved the flavor! So easy!

  14. This was so good! It was easy to put together and even my autistic son who is sensitive to textures loved it.

  15. That was delicious! The only thing I didn’t have was the French onion dip but I did have enough sour cream. So I put onion powder, garlic powder, and salt/pepper on top of to make it like the French onion dip. I also had pork tenderloin and cut it into pork chops. My husband said it was incredible! And he doesn’t like pork tenderloin at all. Thank you Julia for saving pork tenderloin πŸ˜„

  16. I made these tonight. So easy and SO GOOD!!!! Thank you!

Just made this with chicken breasts.Didn’t have French’s Crispy Onions so I crushed up a Β½ box of chicken flavored stovetop, mixed it with a tblsp melted butter and sprinkled that over top.Didn’t have ALOT of super onion-y flavor, but it was still pretty darn yummy! I did pound out my chicken breasts a bit thinner AND covered with foil for 1st 20-25min(did bake at 350Β° tho)then did another 10-15 min without foil to brown up n crisp the topping.Had the PERFECT amount of crunch imo!Was really good and I WILL try with the chops next time.THANK YOU JULIA!!(& other commenters for inspo)
