Ricotta Chicken Bake

This ricotta chicken bake is creamy, cheesy, and baked to perfection for a cozy dinner with bold Italian flavor.

Ingredients 

  • 2 chicken breasts, slice in half horizontally to make thinner

Ricotta Mixture:

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 24 oz jar pasta sauce
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil, or 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non stick spray.
  • Pour half of the pasta sauce into the baking dish. Add the chicken into the baking dish side by side.
  • To a small bowl add the ricotta, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning stir well. Spread this mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle the basil on the top. Pour the remaining pasta sauce over the chicken.
  • Cover tightly with foil. Bake for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
