Seasoned Chicken with Broccoli – 20 Minute Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs olive oil

  • 2 tbs butter, divided

  • 1-2 chicken breasts

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning, divided

  • 1 tbs minced garlic

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

  • 3-4 cups fresh broccoli florets

Directions

  • Slice the chicken in half horizontally this will help the chicken cook quicker and become super tender.
  • Season the chicken on both sides with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and 1/2 tsp of the Italian seasoning.
  • To a skillet on the stove add 1 tbs of the butter and the olive oil once hot add the chicken and cook through. Remove to a separate plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.
  • In the same pan we cooked the chicken in add the last tbs of butter once it melts add the minced garlic, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, chicken broth, and lemon juice scrape the bits off the bottom of the pan and stir well add in the broccoli and let simmer until it reaches the tenderness that you like it to be. Enjoy!
