Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed

  • 1 tbs all purposes flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 1 tbs butter

  • 1/2 white onion, diced

  • 8 oz white mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 tbs minced garlic

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • Serve this meal over: Cooked egg noodles, cooked rice, or mashed potatoes

Directions

  • Place cubed chicken in a medium sized bowl add the flour and all of the seasonings stir well to coat the chicken in the seasonings.
  • Add the butter to a large skillet over medium high heat. Once the butter melts down add the chicken and sear for 2 minutes on each side only flip the chicken once while cooking (the chicken doesn’t need to be cooked through at this point) Now add in the onion and mushrooms cook for an additional 4-5 minutes stirring frequently. Stir in the minced garlic. Stir in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 4 minutes to let the chicken cook through and to let the sauce thicken.
  • Turn the heat off and stir in sour cream once melted serve over cooked egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes!
