Baked Turkey Tacos – Five Dollar Dinner

Baked turkey tacos are a budget-friendly favorite—crispy shells, seasoned turkey, and melty cheese all baked to perfection.

Ingredients 

  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • ½ lb ground turkey
  • 3 tbs taco seasoning
  • cup water
  • 16 oz can refried beans
  • 9-12 crunchy taco shells
  • cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • To a large skillet add the oil over medium heat once hot add in the onion and turkey break the turkey up and cook it through. Once cooked add in the taco seasoning and water stir well and stir in the refried beans simmer together for 5-6 minutes.
  • Grease a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Place the taco shells in the pan, fill each taco shell with the taco filling sprinkle the tops with cheese. Bake for 7-10 minutes.
  • Top with your favorite taco toppings and enjoy!
