Chicken and Broccoli Macaroni Cheesy Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 – 7.25 oz 1 – 7.25 box macaroni and cheese

  • 1 tbs 1 minced garlic

  • 12 oz 12 frozen broccoli

  • 1 cup 1 cooked shredded chicken

  • 1 cup 1 sour cream

  • 1.5 cups 1.5 shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 paprika

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 garlic powder

  • 1 tsp 1 salt

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 pepper

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 melted butter

  • 1.5 cups 1.5 cups crushed ritz crackers (or any crackers)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Prepare the box of macaroni and cheese according to the box instructions. To a large bowl add in the prepared macaroni and cheese, minced garlic, broccoli, chicken, sour cream, 1 cup of the cheese, and seasonings stir well. Grease 9x 13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Pour the casserole mixture into the baking dish and spread out sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • To a small bowl add in the crushed ritz crackers and melted butter stir well. Sprinkle the crackers over the top of the casserole and bake for 35 minutes. Enjoy!

  1. Love these recipe ideas! But just wanted to let you know, I think you have the photos mixed up between this recipe and your Southwest Mexican Macaroni and Cheese Casserole. The photos on this recipe seem to be for the Mexican casserole and the photos on the Mexican casserole are for this Chicken and Broccoli casserole.

    I made this tonight for dinner. My husband and I liked it. Especially the crunchy topping. Could use a bit more cheesiness but overall a thumbs up. I’d make this again.
