One of my very favorite slow cooker dishes of all time, the Marry Me Chicken Recipe is easy and extremely indulgent! With heavy cream and sun-dried tomatoes, this dish has the perfect balance of creamy and tangy flavors. The chicken ends up so tender and delicious and is best served over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice. Serve with some crusty bread to soak up all that extra sauce!

What is Marry Me Chicken?

Marry Me Chicken has nothing to do with marrying a chicken. Sorry, if you’re disappointed. Apparently, if you make this for your significant other, they’ll immediately ask you to marry them. It’s that good, haha!

I highly doubt that will actually be the outcome, but I bet your SO will be really, really happy you made them this dish!

My version of this dish is made in the slow cooker, while many others are made on the stovetop. You know I’m partial to my slow cookers. I love using them whenever I don’t feel like standing in front of the stove or oven.

This recipe is so simple but feels a little upscale. It’s perfect to make when you have 0 time but want to make something impressive for friends, relatives, or even a potential mate, as the name suggests!

Easy Marry Me Chicken Recipe Ingredients

This recipe only takes a few ingredients. Just reading the ingredients list, you can tell this is going to be a good recipe! I mean, who doesn’t love anything with heavy cream and garlic?

  • chicken breast (you could use thighs if you want this dish to be even more rich and delicious!)
  • chicken broth (if you’re like me and use a ton of chicken broth, do yourself a favor and get this)
  • corn starch
  • heavy cream (don’t you dare use milk. the heavy cream makes it!)
  • minced garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Italian seasoning and paprika
  • butter
  • sun-dried tomatoes (the star of the show)

This recipe was fantastic. I added a couple pinches of red pepper flakes and freshly grate Parmesan. It was great to have a delicious easy dinner ready to go at the end of my work day. My family loved it,

This looks delicious. Was going to use half n half. Will it still work out? Your message said don’t use milk so I thought half n half. 😊

I can’t stop eating this delicious meal! The only thing I did differently was I threw in a half a can of drained sweet peas. This was out of this world! It’s funny because this is probably one of the few recipes that you don’t have a cup of cheese mix in LOL

Hi Julie! I tried Marry Me Chicken tonight and it was a hit! Everyone liked it, even the grandkids. Only change I would make is adding a little more salt. Thanks for the recipe–I’ve recently found your channel and have been trying a few things. Great job!

Yummy recipe and very easy. I used beef broth because that’s what I had on hand and added some red chili flakes. I wondered if using coconut cream would be a good substitute for the heavy cream? That would be something I’ll try in the future. Good dish for a warm winter meal.
