Sausage Tomato Pasta

Sausage tomato pasta is a quick, flavorful dinner with juicy sausage, tangy diced tomatoes, and a package of macaroni and cheese.

Ingredients 

  • 1 box mac and cheese
  • ½ lb Italian sausage
  • 14 oz can Italian style petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions 

  • To a pot of water add the mac and cheese noodles and boil according to the box instructions don’t add the cheese packet in at this point. Strain the water out.
  • To a saute pan add the sausage break up and cook it through. Once cooked remove any grease in the pan. Add in the strained cooked pasta, diced tomatoes, mac and cheese cheese packet and seasonings stir well and let simmer for 5-8 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve and enjoy!

    I’ve made this about a dozen times. It’s one of my families favorites. I use the Kraft spirals because I feel it helps hold the sauce better. I also started adding mushrooms to it. It’s super easy to double it and eat on it for a few days.
