Caprese Chicken

Juicy chicken topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil—this Caprese Chicken brings fresh, delicious flavor to your dinner table any time of year.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced in half horizontally
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large tomato , sliced
  • 2 tbs balsamic glaze
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped basil

Instructions 

  • Sprinkle the chicken on both sides with the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In a skillet add the butter and olive oil once it's hot add the chicken and cook on medium for 4-5 minutes on each side or until the center of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Place the mozzarella cheese slices on the cooked chicken in your pan, place the slices of tomato on the mozzarella, drizzle with the balsamic glaze, then sprinkle with the fresh basil. Let the cheese melt then enjoy!
