Ingredients for Cheeseburger Pasta

You might be surprised to find some of these ingredients listed, but you can’t be too surprised! I did say this is Cheeseburger Pasta– and you’ll find all of the proper cheeseburger fixings in this recipe. To make this recipe, you’ll need:

  • ground beef
  • yellow onion
  • minced garlic
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • tomato paste
  • yellow mustard
  • ketchup
  • beef broth
  • short cut pasta
  • milk
  • sour cream
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • pickles (just trust me on this one ok!!)

How to Make Cheeseburger Pasta

Making this Cheeseburger pasta is simple and quick. You can have this pasta ready in about half an hour, and you only need to dirty one dish. One-pot meals are my absolute favorite! You only need to follow a few simple steps to make this, and I’m going to share some useful tips along the way.

Step 1: Cook the Ground Beef

Add the ground beef to a large Dutch oven or pot over medium heat and break it up. I like to use this meat chopper to break up ground meat super easily. Cook until it’s about 50% of the way cooked through, then remove any excess grease in the pot. I like to take a paper towel and blot up any grease with it so I don’t have to go through the hassle of straining everything. I just cover a utensil with a paper towel and move that around the pan.

Step 2: Add the Fixings

Add in the onion and minced garlic and cook for a few minutes, or until the onions are softened and the beef is cooked through. Next, add the tomato paste, yellow mustard, ketchup, beef broth, and pasta. Stir that all together really well and bring it all to a simmer.

Step 3: Simmer and Serve

Cover and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the pasta is totally cooked through. Check every few minutes to make sure your pasta doesn’t overcook. Stir in the milk, sour cream, and cheese and heat until warmed through. Serve with chopped pickles on top (just trust me on this, it’s so good!), and enjoy!

When do you add the Worcestershire sauce?

  2. This was so good! My son has a dairy allergy so I omitted the sour cream and cheese and used a non dairy milk and it was still amazing without it! My whole family loved this and I will definitely be making this again.

  3. Made this tonight! Pretty much followed the recipe, just upped the amounts of ketchup, mustard and worchestershire sauce some. So good! Hubby loved it.
