Creamy Sausage Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb small pasta shells

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage

  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1 cup fresh spinach

  • 1 cup grated parmesan

Directions

  • Cook the pasta from box instructions, drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan over med heat, brown and break apart the sausage. Remove excess grease. Lower the heat and add in the cream. Simmer for 3 minutes (while whisking frequently) to start to thicken the sauce, add in the spinach cooking for another 3 minutes to wilt the spinach, salt, and pepper. Stir in the parmesan cheese followed by the noodles. Serve hot and enjoy!

  4. This is so good! It was a hit with the whole family. I love to add mushrooms and garlic. And if you like a bit of a kick, it’s really good with some red pepper flakes on top!

  6. OMG, this dish is amazing! It wasn’t enough for my hungry family, so I’ll have to double it up next time. I love that my 6 year old daughter who hates vegetables even loved it with the spinach. It’s creamy, well seasoned, and so delicious.
