Healthy Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients 

  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into small cubes
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbs minced garlic
  • 2 tbs all purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1 ¾ cup milk
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • 3 cups uncooked penne pasta, (or other shaped pasta)
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in saute pan once hot add the chicken, salt, and pepper cook the chicken though.
  • Once chicken is cooked stir the garlic and flour in.
  • Add the broth, milk, seasonings, and pasta in stir well. Simmer covered for 18-20 minutes or until the pasta is cooked. Stir frequently so the pasta doesn’t stick to the pan.
  • Once the pasta is tender stir the parmesan cheese in once it melts it’s ready to serve. Enjoy!
