One Pot Smoked Sausage Pasta

This one pot smoked sausage pasta is bold, creamy, and packed with smoky flavor—ready in a flash and cooked in a single pan.

Ingredients 

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz package kielbasa sausage, or similar sausage
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup fresh chopped spinach
  • 14 oz can petite diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions 

  • To a large pot on the stove over medium heat,  add the oil.  Once the oil is hot add in the, sausage, onion, pepper, and garlic cook for 7-8 minutes stirring often to brown the sausage and cook the onion and pepper.
  • Add in the tomato paste, spinach, diced tomatoes, pasta, and chicken broth stir well. Let simmer covered for 12-14 minutes stirring occasionally until the pasta is to the tenderness you like.
