Sausage Tortellini

Tender cheese tortellini pairs perfectly with savory sausage in a creamy sauce for a comforting, hearty pasta dinner that comes together quickly.

Ingredients 

  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 24 oz jarred marinara sauce
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese, shredded

Instructions 

  • To a large pot of boiling water cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Save 1/4 cup of the pasta water the tortellini is cooking in for the sauce. Drain the pasta set to the side.
  • To a large pot over medium heat add the sausage break it up with a spatula and cook it through. Once sausage is cooked remove any excess grease.
  • Pour in the marinara sauce and the reserved pasta water. Bring up to a simmer let simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in the tortellini and parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
