Shortbread Blossoms

Buttery shortbread topped with chocolatey kisses—these festive shortbread blossoms are a simple yet elegant cookie classic.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups flour, all purpose
  • tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter , softened
  • cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbs milk
  • Colorful sprinkles of your choice
  • 24 Hershey’s kisses

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl add the flour, salt, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk beat together until well combined. (The mixture will look crumbly at first but keep beating until it comes together)
  • Scoop the dough into balls and roll in the sprinkles. Place onto a cookie tray and bake for 13-15 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven immediately place a Hershey’s kiss into the center. Enjoy!

    Have made two batches of these and love them! On the second batch, I used three tsp vanilla instead of two and they were AMAZING! This is the best shortbread blossom recipe I have found.
