Slow Cooker Stew Meat with Gravy

Tender stew meat slow-cooked in a rich, savory gravy—this comforting dish is perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lbs stew meat
  • 1 sliced onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 4 sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cups beef broth
  • 1 bay leaf

Cornstarch Slurry

  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • 2 tbs cold water

Instructions 

  • In the slow cooker, pour in all the ingredients (minus the cornstarch slurry mixture) and set to high for 3 – 4 hours or on low 5 -6 hours.
  • Make the cornstarch slurry by mixing the Cornstarch Slurry together.
  • 40 minutes before the beef tips are cooked remove the bay leaf and stir the cornstarch slurry in.
  • Cook on HIGH for 30-40 minutes or until the beef tips are cooked and the gravy thickens.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes and enjoy.
