Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour BBQ Meatballs

Tangy, sweet, and saucy—these sweet and sour BBQ meatballs are a slow cooker favorite for parties or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds regular style fully cooked frozen meatballs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 orange pepper, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow pepper, chopped
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 18 oz bottle BBQ sauce

Instructions 

Freezer meal prep

  • Write the cooking instructions and date on 2 gallon sized freezer bags
  • Divide all ingredients evenly into two bags and freeze.

In the Slow Cooker

  • Cook thawed or freshly made on low for 6 hours.

    It says to divide evenly into 2 freezer bags. When you are cooking it, do you dump both bags into the slow cooker, or is it 1 bag per dinner? We have 6 people in our household if that helps.

    I made two batches of this and stuck one straight in the crockpot and the other in the freezer. I served these with rice and they were really good!! Everyone in my family ate them and loved them. Even the three year old. When I make it again I will probably beef it up with extra bell pepper, but it was delicious as is! Thank you 😊
