Teriyaki Chicken

Sticky, sweet, and savory—this Teriyaki Chicken comes together fast and tastes just like your favorite takeout.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • ¾ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions 

  • To a slow cooker add the onion, teriyaki sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and garlic powder. Stir well. Add the chicken on top and coat the chicken in the sauce.
  • Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, shred and continue to cook for 20 minutes in the slow cooker.
  • Serve over rice with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy

    I made this last night but I added arrowroot in the pot after I shredded the chicken to thicken it up. I also used coconut-aminos since I cannot tolerate soy or gluten. It turned out great and it was so simple! Will be adding this to our food rotation. 🙂
