We have made this for years but without the sausage/onion. The sausage is a game changer for hubby and me! My kids didn’t like the sausage addition so I just brown it up while the casserole is cooking and sprinkle it on top of ours. We use the leftover sausage for breakfasts.

This was delicious! I didn’t have tortellini so I used cheese ravioli and it turned out amazing!

I used ravioli as well and it was great! I also subbed Italian chicken sausage for a little healthier option, 10/10!

Can you use box tortellini for this tortellini casserole instead of frozen?

    1. Bridget says:

I used dried tortellini and cooked it first and then assembled as per her directions and it turned out great

This dish was so delicious that my 15 year old son had three huge servings and my husband had two. Of course I doubled the recipe with high expectations. Again another one of your recipes was a smashing success. Thank you so much!!
