Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup jasmine rice , or long-grain white rice
  • 1 ½ cups cold water

Seasonings (optional)

  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning , for Mexican cuisine
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning , for Italian cuisine
  • 1 tbsp any other seasonings you love

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice in a mesh strainer under cold water until the water runs clear. This will rinse away any excess starch so the grains remain separate.
  • To your Instant Pot add the oil, rice, water, and seasonings. Stir, place the lid on top, set the valve on the lid to the sealing position, and press the Rice button, then press Start (some Instant Pots don’t have a start button but if yours does press start). Once the cooking time has elapsed, release the steam valve for a quick release, stir, and serve.
