Not your average one-pot meal—One-Pot Ground Turkey Pasta is a quick, family-friendly dinner loaded with cheese, lean ground turkey, and bold southwest spices.

Ingredients for One-Pot Ground Turkey Pasta:
- Protein: pick a lean ground turkey from the meat section
- Vegetables: use diced yellow onion and red bell pepper
- Seasonings: make sure to have minced garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt and black pepper
- Liquid: to make the sauce base you will need to have tomato sauce and chicken stock or chicken broth
- Dry pasta: I enjoy using penne pasta but you can pick your favorite pasta
- Cream: using sour cream you can make a creamy sauce with delicious flavors
- Cheese: I like to use shredded Mexican blend cheese for the best flavor but you can also use mozzarella cheese
How to make this One-Pot Ground Turkey Pasta:
To a large pot, add the olive oil. Once hot, add turkey, onion, peppers, and garlic. Break the turkey up and cook through. Add in the chili powder, paprika, cumin, and salt and pepper.
Add in tomato sauce, broth, and pasta, and stir well. Simmer for 14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
Stir in sour cream and cheese until the cheese is melted and incorporated. Serve with cilantro and avocado on top and enjoy!

If you don’t love using ground turkey, you can also use ground chicken or ground sausage. Either works great with easy pasta recipes.

I like to use penne pasta with this recipe, but any simple pasta will do! Elbow macaroni or even rotini would be great!
