How to store the tender gnocchi and sausage dinner:

Fridge: Place any leftover Italian sausage gnocchi into a glass airtight container for up to 5 days to use for another quick dinner.

Tips and tricks for making an easy sausage and gnocchi dinner:

Protein added:

When making this simple dinner recipe I love using ground Italian sausage because it add so much flavor and can be paired with anything. However, you could use ground chicken or ground pork instead.

But, if you want to keep the Italian flavors, you could also use Italian chicken sausage links and cut them into circles instead of browning the meat, just saute the sausage.

Added veggies:

Feel free to make this recipe your own. I love trying to sneak in veggies when I can. Green beans or chopped broccoli would be great in this recipe.

Toppings for sausage gnocchi:

Top with one pot recipe with some fresh basil and shredded parmesan cheese for the perfect addition of flavor and color.

I love to cook and am used to making complicated meals, but I saw your video and this is different from things I usually make. i was blown away! It was so delicious and EASY! I’m going to make it again next week. And the leftovers were equally good 🙂

Wonderful. Flavorful and filling. The gnocchi cooked fine in the pot as everything simmered the last 15 minute; no need to precook it. We added the mozzarella cheese to part of each serving at the table and decided we like the dish better without. We had crusty bread on the side to soak up sauce, and also had some fruit (red grapes and sliced apple). Thanks, Julia, for featuring this in the recent video of 15 one pot recipes.

I love this recipe! I wasn’t sure if the gnocchi should’ve been pre-cooked or not so I just boiled them first before adding them to the recipe. Came out delicious! Will make again!

I made this tonight and it was so SO good! I didn’t have any spinach so I substituted in some fresh cubed zucchini. Even my picky husband loved it! Thanks for a great recipe Julia!
