Classic Ice Cream Pie is one of those perfectly delicious go-to dessert recipes that is actually really simple to make, but is such a crowd pleaser! Not to mention it is a very versitle dessert.
This is made with a graham cracker crust, two flavors of ice cream, and whatever toppings you and your entire family will love. If you prefer you can use different ice cream flavors like your favorite ice cream flavors to serve with family dinner.
For this easy ice cream pie recipe, you won’t need anything fancy like a springform pan or double boiler. You can skip the need for a pie dish by buying a store-bought pre-made pie crust.
This easy pie recipe is always a summer favorite dessert recipe, but is also great for special occassions as well.

Ingredients for Classic Ice Cream Pie:

- Crust: you will need to use a 10-inch graham cracker pie crust that is either homemade or store-bought
- Ice cream: I like to use a combination of peanut butter cup ice cream and sea salt caramel ice cream
- Optional Toppings: pick your favorite toppings like whipped cream, hot fudge sauce, caramel sauce, or candy pieces (like M&Ms)
How to make Classic Ice Cream Pie:
Prep the Ice Cream: Allow the ice cream to soften slightly at room temperature for about 10 minutes, making it easier to scoop.
Prepare the Pie Crust: Remove the plastic lid from the graham cracker pie crust, but be sure to keep it for later when freezing.

Layer the Ice Cream: Using alternating scoops, place the peanut butter cups and sea salt caramel ice cream next to each other in the pie crust. Spread the ice cream out evenly to create a smooth, flat layer.

Freeze: Place the plastic lid back on the pie dish and freeze for at least 1 hour to allow the softened ice cream to firm up.

Serve: Once frozen, slice and top with your favorite toppings, such as whipped cream, fudge, caramel sauce, or candy pieces.
How to store leftover peanut butter ice cream pie:
Fridge: Place a lid on the pie dish and store it in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
