Red, White, and Blue Cheesecake Fruit Salad is my go-to creamy fruit salad recipe made with fresh fruit for the summer time, not to mention for the 4th of July holiday.

It is so simple to make with the tasty seasonal fruits during the summer, with all the fresh berries and whipped cream, which my family loves.

Some might refer to this as a strawberry cheesecake salad because I love going heavy on the strawberries in this delicious salad.

You cannot go wrong with this creamy cheesecake fruit salad. It is the perfect summer salad recipe to make for your next summer gathering this Memorial Day weekend, other holidays, or throw together to go with your favorite dinner recipe.

Why you’ll love this family favorite recipe!

Ingredients for Cheesecake Fruit Salad:

  1. Cream: To get the creamy base, I like to use thawed whipped topping like Cool Whip
  2. Pudding: Using a cheesecake instant pudding mix adds the perfect amount to this ambrosia salad
  3. Yogurt: I add the flavored strawberry yogurt to get a creamy side dish with even more flavor
  4. Extract: Adding a little bit of vanilla extract goes perfectly in this fruit salad cheesecake recipe
  5. Fresh fruit: We like to pick up fresh blueberries and fresh strawberries from the farmers market, wash everything, and slice the strawberries for the fruit salad recipe
  6. Marshmallow: This would not be the perfect dish without mini marshmallows however, they are optional, we just love them.

Tips and tricks for making Berry Salad:

Different fruit to use:

This recipe is great with delicious berries like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or even raspberries. However, using blackberries and raspberries will be a little harder as they are softer berries and won’t hold their shape as well.

Topping for fruit salad:

If you want, I like to top this salad recipe off with even more berries, some sliced almonds, more marshmallows, or right before serving, sometimes I will add some graham crackers or vanilla wafers that have been crushed up.

Fresh flavor:

To create even more fresh flavor in this recipe, I will add about 1-2 tsp of lime juice for a fun twist.
